Polling Results

The good news continues to pour in today.

In Louisiana, a new poll is out tonight that indicates that Congressman Vitter is now at 47% in the polls, just shy of the 50% needed to avoid a December run-off.

In Oklahoma, it seems that former Congressman Coburn has recovered and is now ahead of Congressman Carson by five percentage points.

Meanwhile on the Presidential front, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll has the two candidates tied, but in a separate question, 64% of voters found the mention of Mary Cheney inappropriate. Other tracking polls have the President edging up, including Zogby and Rasmussen.

As many of you have no doubt heard, the President intends to visit New Jersey soon. A poll out today indicates the wisdom of this decision. Kerry only leads 44%-42% in the Garden State. The undecideds lean to President Bush. If these numbers continue to stay like this, you can expect the see the President return before election day.
