Razor Thin

A public-money polling firm just canvassed a sample of Iraqis, to determine how they feel about their country’s prospects. According to that firm:

62% – said Iraq was headed in the right direction.
23% – said Iraq was headed in the wrong direction.

Although three of Iraq’s 18 provinces were not surveyed (including a Kurdish area, from which a large majority of those who were sampled gave positive responses), an outright majority of the populace, as a whole, believes Iraq is headed in the “right direction,” regardless of how those other provinces might or might not have answered the pollsters’ questions.
