Terri Schiavo Update
I have received several emails from readers who are very upset that Terri’s feeding tube has been removed. It took my breath away when I first heard it. I watched a segment on MSNBC’s Connected: Coast to Coast (where Musing Minds was quoted!) and found myself sickened by the callousness of those in favor of removing the tube. I was also taken aback by all the charges of political opportunism on the part of those in favor of keeping Terri alive. Do groups have political points they want to make with this case? Sure they do, but many of us just imagine ourselves in the place of Terri’s parents and can’t imagine being denied the right to care for our child. I pray for Terri, but I pray even more fervently for her parents and her family. I can’t imagine what they are going through right now.
