The Devaluation Of Life Continues

The Corner links to this story about an elderly Georgia woman being deprived food and water in contradiction to her living will, and in spite of family members who believe she should be fed.
During the Terri Schiavo debate, many in favor of feeding Terri argued that allowing Michael Schiavo to starve his brain damaged wife was the beginning of a slippery slope. They argued that the devaluation of Terri’s life would lead to the devaluation of other lives that some declared not worth living. Unfortunately, it appears that they were right.
