Clement

Rumor is that the president will pick 57-year-old Judge Edith Clement to replace Justice O’Connor. Clement does not have much of a paper trail, which should be of some concern to conservatives. Justices on the SCOTUS always “grow” to become liberal, never the other way around.
That said, some conservatives are vouching for Judge Clement. On the other hand, conservatives vouched up and down for Justice Souter when he was nominated, and he turned out to be just another ultra-liberal. Sigh. Why are solid conservative judges so hard to find??
