While the Republicans are struggling to find a strong challenger to Senator Bill Nelson (all of the top-tier Florida Republicans are running for Governor), the State Party believes that if it can shave off another 5% of the minority vote in the Sunshine State, the Democratic Party is doomed here.
I would argue that the same holds true nationally. If the GOP can make some inroads into the African-American vote (perhaps 20%-25%, then states like Michigan and Pennsylvania could abruptly tilt Republican.
