Tit For Tat

I could comment on this story from an airline security angle, but I just can’t seem to muster anything but amusement at the thought of this 62-year-old woman, Phyllis Dintenfass, grabbing the breasts of the security guard who “was using the back of her hands to search the area underneath Dintenfass’ breasts … for what felt like an interminably long time.” The jury is expected to begin deliberations on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see this verdict.

I know that airport security people have jobs to do, but I can also see myself being really ticked off if I was searched in this way. Am I wrong on this one? Is there a rash of 62-year-old bra bombers that I have missed? I guess the shoe bomb seemed unlikely, too, until one was found. I certainly want to be safe when I fly, but I don’t like the thought of having to be “felt up” to keep from being blown up.
