Lame Duck

Remember how the media was shouting “lame duck” in the spring and early summer?

Well, the lame duck is getting a lot done, and it looks like the duck is serving the media some crow.

While the President will likely not get anything substantive this year on Social Security, even some partial reforms would make this session a success. The ultimate test of this session will be the confirmation of Judge Roberts. If he is confirmed, and as it looks right now, by a landslide, then Republicans can justifiably call this year a success.
