From Far And Wide

Even though thousands continue to wait for relief, many suffering as a result of Katrina are receiving assistance from far and wide. A dear friend and neighbor of mine is working through this holiday weekend because she is employed by a local (NC) hospital and they are going to be receiving almost 200 patients that will be transferred from one of the hospitals hit by Katrina. I assume the same thing is happening at hospitals all over the South and SouthWest.

Michelle Malkin has a great roundup of the various forms of assistance coming from all over the country, and she has links to tons of human interest stories, as well. Unfortunately, quite a few of of them are incredibly sad.
