Chafee

Lincoln Chafee has announced that he will support John Roberts. This has something to do with homestate politics. Chafee has to fend off a conservative challenging him from the right in the Republican primary. However, whatever his reason, this guarantees that John Roberts will win a minimum of 56 votes for confirmation. My guess is that he will win around 70-80 votes.

The closer to 77, the more of a humilliation for Harry Reid. Anything above that will mean over half the Democratic caucus voted differently.

So much for leadership. So much for party loyalty.
