Rita – Making The Call
This Polipundit reader “got” what Oak Leaf was alluding to when he asked when we were going to start evacuating Houston.
I think there’s more on Oak Leaf’s mind than just the notion of whether Houston is in danger and should be evacuated. The idea is that Rita is now where Katrina was the Thursday before it hit, and if you want a safe evacuation of Houston to be complete by the time Rita strikes, you have to make the call tonight, and Rita can still miss Houston altogether by hundreds of miles.
The whole idea is to mock, lambaste, lampoon, and heap scorn upon the idea that the President was “in charge” and should have forced/led the evacuation of New Orleans when the Federal Disater was declared two days before the storm hit, and that the resulting deaths due to flooding are exclusively the President’s fault.
He’s challenging the deranged leftoids by saying: you think the Presdient screwed up, and you want to blame him and him alone? Then you make the call, and make it right now because by tomorrow it will be too late to get everyone out in time.
