Miers – Part Deux
I guess I should say a few things about Miers.
First, I personally don’t know anything about her, except that she’s White House Counsel. Then again, I didn’t know anything about Clarence Thomas, except he was head of the EEOC and had a brief stint on the D.C. Circuit. Thomas turned out pretty darn well. So, ergo, the fact I don’t know much of anything about Miers means nothing to me.
Second, I don’t care that she’s never been a judge. The SCOTUS has needed non-judges for quite some time. If you think liberals reside in cocoons, you should see the ones in which judges reside.
Third, 60 years old is not ideal, but then again Janice Rogers Brown is 57, and my ultimate SCOTUS choice, so I can’t get wigged out over an extra three years.
I only care how Miers will vote once seated. In that regard, President Bush has much more info than I do.
Much more info.
As such, I’ve already moved on.
